Description:

The Kootenai Chronicles were published in the Coeur d'Alene Press between February 1994 and February 1995 and cover various aspects of Kootenai County history including Ft. Sherman, Cataldo Mission, Mullan Road, Bozanta Tavern, Alan Race Track, tourism, churches, and Farragut. Each page features commentary as well as photographs, and the book paints a varied portrait of a rustic area undergoing massive change throughout its first century of growth.

Compiled by Robert Singletary the Kootenai Chronicles are drawn from the photographic archives of the Museum of North Idaho. The author and the Museum combined to publish the first year's worth of Chronicles in an oversized, softcover format.
